GE Healthcare's Life Sciences division is in the process of moving its U.S. headquarters from Piscataway to Massachusetts, a spokesman for the company said Wednesday. He added that it is not clear at this time how many of the approximately 400 employees in New Jersey will be affected, but GE Healthcare issued a WARN notice for 218 positions.

“Some positions will be relocated to Massachusetts, some positions may remain as remote employees, some positions will be made redundant and some positions — including some remote and field-based roles — will be unaffected,” Benjamin Fox, the spokesman, said Wednesday. “… Until we have spoken individually with all employees and made business decisions accordingly, how many total positions in each of these groups cannot be known.”
