Gaumard Scientific's Latest UNI Operating System Update Adds Performance And New Functionality

MIAMI, July 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard® Scientific Company today announced that the latest update to UNI®, the world's first operating system to support an entire family of high-fidelity simulators, is now available exclusively to Gaumard users. UNI® version 2.27.21.0 adds enhanced functionality including support for recently launched Newborn Tory S2200, as well as improvements to laboratory functions, patient charting capabilities, and monitoring of clinical measures such as EtCO2

First launched in 2009, UNI® supports the entire family of Gaumard's wireless and tetherless high-fidelity simulators and is installed on tablets that communicate wirelessly with Gaumard simulators. The fully wireless simulation system provides Care in Motion allowing training scenarios to take place anywhere: a patient care location, hallway, ambulance or even outside of a medical center. UNI further adds to the realism offered by Gaumard simulators by providing real-time direct control of the patient simulator's speech and clinical response.

John Eggert, executive vice president of Gaumard, "We've made ease of use and advanced functionality priorities in developing UNI®. Educators can rest assured that they will be greeted by both the latest innovations in simulation and the familiar UNI® interface when adding additional high-fidelity Gaumard simulators to their educational programs and sim centers."
