Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Neuroimaging Device Developed, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Researchers Reveal

NIRSIT, a functional near-infrared spectroscopy neuroimaging device, is set to change the landscape of neuroscience research and the medical sector by offering high spatial resolution as well as high temporal resolution in a portable and wireless manner.

The Nanoscale Advanced Integrated Systems (NAIS) Lab Team at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), led by Professor Hyeon-Min Bae of the Electrical Engineering Department and researchers at OBELAB, a spin-off startup of NAIS Lab (hereinafter "the KAIST team"), is ready to launch its first NIRS device, NIRSIT, to the neuroimaging world as early as March 2016.
