DALLAS, Nov. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Fotona, based in the U.S. and Europe, announced the establishment and the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art laser training and research Institute in Europe, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The grand opening of the Fotona Institute was a two day event on November 7-8 and included lectures from renowned experts in the fields of dermatology and aesthetics, gynecology and dentistry, live patient treatments, workshops and an evening social event at the Academy of Science and Technology.
The new Institute is a state-of-the-art laser research, teaching, training and clinical facility. The Institute will play a key role in Fotona's mission to serve as a global platform for the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge among the world's leading experts, and promote evidence-based laser medicine and dentistry among practitioners and the general public.
The facilities provide 500 m2 of workspace for educational & training activities, including multiple lecture rooms, a large lecture room for 90 participants, a laser room for live patient treatments, room for hands-on, ex-vivo trainings and state of the art audio and video and audio equipment.
