Formpipe Life Science To Challenge Tradition At ISPE Annual Conference

22 October 2015: Formpipe Life Science has announced its attendance at this year’s ISPE Annual Conference in Philadelphia (8th-11th November). In addition to exhibiting and being a silver sponsor of the prestigious event, the company’s managing director, Keith Williams, will also be addressing the audience to deliver a presentation designed to share technology best practice and challenge delegates to change the way they think about the interaction between people, processes and technology.

Entitled, resisting temptation: a unique approach to implementing new pharmaceutical systems, the presentation will be delivered on Wednesday at 10.30am and will focus on the common pitfalls of implementing new systems in the pharma sector; practical guidance for avoiding them, and real life case study examples of best practice from both sides of the Atlantic.

The ISPE Annual Conference will mark the 3rd time for the specialist content and compliance management software house and consultancy has attended the conference. The show will give the company, which has offices in New Jersey (US), Nottinghamshire (UK) and Stockholm (SE), the opportunity to engage with its rapidly growing number of US customers and prospects. Discussing plans to further infiltrate the US Pharma sector and promote a ‘cradle to grave’, cost-effective and efficient approach to compliance management and document preservation, Keith Williams said:

“Formpipe has over 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical sector working with many of the global market leaders to offer compliance-related trouble shooting services, expert technology-based consultancy and compliance management software. We have been working with both customers and the wider Formpipe group to meet industry demand and create a suite of applications that work harmoniously to bring together all compliance-related processes and procedures in a straight forward, intuitive and secure place.

“The use of multiple systems for managing data and documentation across departments has long been seen as a necessary evil in the life science industry but is actually an unnecessary expense – costing larger pharma companies millions in user licenses and maintenance alone. It also represents an extremely inefficient way to work, bringing with it increased opportunity for error and encouraging silo mentality. As part of my presentation, I’ll be challenging these traditions and putting forward an alternative approach. I'll also be talking to delegates about the common pitfalls of new system implementation, such as the lack of proper readiness assessment or requirements analysis, and providing workable solutions to safeguard smooth and speedy deployment.”
