FDA Approves Georgia Companies' Medical Devices

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved several new medical devices to be marketed by Georgia companies. Intuit Medical LLC of Sugar HIll, Ga., was green lighted to begin marketing its DK-PTCA Balloon Catheter for use in coronary angioplasty. Molnlycke Health Care US LLC of Norcross, Ga., won permission to launch its Avance Foam Dressing Kits, a suction device for treating different types of wounds.
