Evofem, Inc. Appoints Louis Villalba As Chief Business Officer

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Evofem, Inc. announces that Louis Villalba has been named Chief Business Officer (CBO), effective immediately. Mr. Villalba comes to Evofem with years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical technology sales in both the US and global markets.

In his role as CBO, Mr. Villalba will provide organizational leadership, manage strategic partnerships and lead Evofem, Inc.'s portfolio development. He will report directly to Saundra Pelletier, CEO.

Mr. Villalba most recently served as Vice President of Sales for Auxogyn, a medical device company that specializes in IVF products. Prior to Auxogyn, he served as General Manager of Europe for Conceptus and was part of the team that completed the $1.1 billion sale of the company to Bayer AG in 2013. Prior to his tenure with Conceptus, Mr. Villalba held various Marketing, Sales Management, and Corporate Development positions at VIVUS, Inc.

Mr. Villalba earned a BA in Business Management at Menlo College.
