Event Cardio Group Acquires Worldwide Rights to Now Cardio(TM), Advanced Cardiac Monitoring Device

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 19, 2014) - Event Cardio Group, Inc. (OTCQB: ECGI), a medical device company, announced it has finalized its acquisition of full intellectual property (IP) and development rights for Now Cardio™, advanced cardiac monitoring device.

On Nov. 14, 2014, the Company finalized the acquisition of the intellectual property, production, and distribution rights for Now Cardio™, an advanced cardiac monitor device which offers dual-functionality including both holter monitoring, and event recording simultaneously, which the Company believes to be the first of its' kind. As a wireless and leadless system, it is more comfortable to wear, and as a result, is more likely to be worn.

Current cardiac monitoring suffers from patients failing to wear their monitoring devices. Diagnostic yield from the data collected from current holter monitors is as low as 4%, but research shows event recorders diagnostic yields are currently 62%, and the Company believes we can exceed 90%, and thus save more lives through early detection.

Breast Cancer Detection Device

The Company has also obtained an agreement with Life Medical Technologies, Inc. with respect to their "BreastCare DTS™ device", which grants exclusive right to distribute the BreastCare DTS™ in the United States, Canada and certain countries in Asia, and certain rights throughout the rest of the world.

FDA Approval

BreastCare DTS™ has received FDA 510K clearance for marketing in the United States to be used by physicians as an adjunct to routine physical examination including palpation, mammography and other established procedures for the detection of breast disease including breast cancer.

Now with licensing agreement in place for BreastCare DTS™, and the rights for Now Cardio™ now under the ECGI umbrella, the company's full attention will now turn towards commercialization and production, with pending updates on that front expected shortly.
