ERT Donates 1,200 Tablet Computers To Pittsburgh Charitable Organizations

Tablets will Support Children and Adult Initiatives

PITTSBURGH – December 17, 2015 –– ERT, the leading cloud platform solutions provider delivering clinical and scientific innovation through its patient-centric data collection and intelligence solutions, today announced that it is donating approximately 1,200 tablet computers to Pittsburgh-based charitable organizations. The donation is part of ERT’s ongoing community outreach program which supports local organizations with goods and services delivered through ERT employees.

The tablet computer donations are being made to 21 charitable organizations throughout the region, including the Best of Batch Foundation, the Citizen Science Lab, and the Light of Life Rescue Mission. The tablets will help these organizations meet various needs, including educational enhancements, child development, and assisting adults with job searches. “Although each of the organizations we are working with have different needs, they are all similar in their goals to help individuals and families throughout the Pittsburgh region,” said Ron Sullivan, ERT’s Executive Vice President, electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments (eCOA). “We are pleased that these computers will support the important charitable work they do for so many in need.”

“Because of this generous donation, our residents will now be able to do everyday tasks that others have become accustomed to,” said Sherry Rorison, Women & Children Program Manager, Light of Life Mission. ”The tablets will help the children at our facility as well as their parents, who will learn to use them to complete everyday tasks such as budgeting and online banking. We are extremely thankful that ERT is making this possible for our residents.”
