Eli Lilly and Company CEO Rejects Corporate Jet Perk, Unlike His Peers

BNET -- Eli Lilly (LLY) CEO John Lechleiter didn’t use the corporate jet for personal reasons last year, according to an SEC disclosure, the second year in a row he’s eschewed the perk. (He also took a 21 percent pay cut to $16.5 million.) The move shows that there are two classes of CEO in the drug business: Those that use the company’s private aircraft for their own non-work vacations — often taking their spouses with them — and those who pay their own way.
