Elekta's MOSAIQ Oncology Information System Ranked No. 1 Oncology Software Solution by KLAS

1/4/2013 9:39:57 AM

ATLANTA, Jan. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Among oncology software products, customers ranked Elekta first for its MOSAIQ® Oncology Information System (OIS) in a survey by KLAS, an independent research firm. The recently released 2012 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services* report showed that MOSAIQ scored 80.1 out of 100 and 87 percent of customers indicated they would buy again. The report, which puts MOSAIQ at the top for 2012, is a summary of performance data collected over the past 12 months and ranks the top overall vendors, as well as leaders in each market segment.

The award will be presented to Elekta at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference & Exhibition in March 2013 in New Orleans. MOSAIQ demonstrations will be provided at booth #1511 during the exhibition, highlighting the OIS's unparalleled open systems and interface connectivity to the widest range of treatment planning, treatment delivery, LIS, brachytherapy systems and hospital information systems.

"We are honored that KLAS survey respondents recognized MOSAIQ as the top oncology information system for the second year in a row," says Todd Powell, Executive Vice President, Elekta Software. "MOSAIQ is the preferred OIS for thousands of oncology practices for a reason. We have worked to make MOSAIQ not only the most comprehensive, interoperable and robust solution available, but also equipped it to perform functions that all modern EMRs should have to increase efficiency in patient care."

MOSAIQ is a complete patient information management system that efficiently manages patient care on a single workstation, allowing effective treatment evaluation before, during and after delivery to ensure accuracy and safety. With more than 25 years of open systems support, MOSAIQ connects seamlessly to virtually any linear accelerator and planning system from any vendor, giving centers the flexibility to choose solutions that perform optimally for their practice and patients. Today, more than 2,500 global customers count on MOSAIQ to manage their patient information and provide unmatched connectivity to enterprise systems.

KLAS gathers opinions of thousands of healthcare professionals
The KLAS awards are based on data from customer surveys of hospital and clinic executives, administrators, physicians, nurses and other directors and managers interacting with healthcare equipment and infrastructure solutions.

According to KLAS, Best in KLAS designations go to solutions that have excelled in their respective market segments, that show the vendor's leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality, and that have the broadest operational and clinical impact to healthcare organizations.
