Elekta and BrainLAB AG Collaborate to Increase Accuracy and Comfort of Radiosurgery Treatments for Individuals with Cancer

FELDKIRCHEN, Germany, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cancer management technology leaders, Brainlab and Elekta announced the first installation of an Elekta linear accelerator (linac) equipped with ExacTrac® Patient Positioning system by Brainlab; a strategy to make radiosurgery treatments for cancer patients more accurate and comfortable. ExacTrac is planned to be integrated with a total of two Elekta linacs at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon, India.
