Eat Wholegrain, Three Slices Of White Bread A Day Linked To Weight Gain, University of Navarra Study

The fact that white bread is less nutritious than whole grain is well established, however researchers in Spain have found that on top of being nutritionally inferior, white bread consumption can lead to a 40% increased risk of becoming obese, according to a new study by the University of Navarra. The results of the study were released by professors Miguel A. Martínez-González and Maira Bes-Rastrollo, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, during the European Congress on Obesity, held in Bulgaria.
