Dynex Technologies to Showcase Agility(TM) ELISA Processor at MEDICA 2011 - Hall 3, Stand D45-6

CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dynex Technologies, Inc., a global manufacturer of products designed to make diagnostic testing easier, more cost-effective, and less labor intensive, will feature its breakthrough Dynex® Agility ELISA microplate sample processing system at the MEDICA 2011 World Forum of Medicine in Dusseldorf, Germany, from November 16 to 19, 2011. The Agility system brings true automation and extraordinary ease-of-use to what has been historically a tedious and time-consuming process. Dynex has removed virtually all of the manual set-up and data entry from the workflow, significantly reducing the hands-on time compared with traditional systems, lowering cost of ownership as well as cost per test. Agility's designers have streamlined reagent loading and data input working with assay manufacturers to develop pre-loaded SmartKit reagent packs that the user simply drops into the system no manual reagent transfer needed. A barcode system communicates all the information needed for a successful assay electronically. This unique feature eliminates manual data entry of kit-specific data, minimizes errors, and tracks all kit, sample, and consumable inventory delivering true walk-away performance.

Steele, Dynex's vice president of sales and marketing, added, "The Agility system has three robotic arms for sample pipetting, reagent pipetting, and transferring plates, consumables, and SmartKit reagent packs. Up to 16 SmartKit packs can be stored on one Agility instrument at a time and up to 12 microplates can be loaded on-board as they are prepared. The Agility system will be offered for limited release to reagent manufacturers in the near future, with full availability to end users by Q2 2012."
