Drug Giant Novartis AG to Launch New Research Lab in Research Triangle Park

Novartis, which recently announced an expansion of its $1 billion facility in Holly Springs, is again strengthening its commitment to the Triangle, as the drugmaker has signed a lease to bring a lab to Research Triangle Park. The company, which is already expanding its Holly Springs operations with a $47 million addition, has signed a five-year-lease on the RTP lab and office space. Initially, the company will relocate 30 technical development scientists from Holly Springs, but eventually the RTP site will accommodate about 100.
