Dr. Leslie Saxon, USC Chief Cardiologist Joins Endotronix Board
Peoria, IL, - Oct. 3, 2013 – Endotronix, a digital health solutions company, is expanding its board of directors with the addition of prominent cardiologist Leslie Saxon, MD, of Los Angeles, Calif. Dr. Saxon is the chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine and executive director of the Center for Body Computing, a digital health innovation and research center headquartered at USC.

Not only do Dr. Saxon’s cardiology roots and passion for creating groundbreaking digital solutions for chronic disease management align closely with the Endotronix solution, so does her perspective on improving healthcare.

The Endotronix solution under development includes a biosensor implant and small, wireless handheld reader that measures and transmits pulmonary artery pressure data to telehealth software from which the patient’s healthcare team can remotely monitor it. Based on the data, physicians can be proactive about preventing future events by reaching out to the patient and making adjustments to his/her care plan as needed.
In addition to her work in the field, Dr. Saxon has had more than 100 articles published in various medical journals. She also is a member of multiple organizations including the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society, The Heart Failure Society of America, and more.
