Don't Use Ebola Funds To Fight Zika

It's coming. Zika virus has turned up in mosquitoes in Puerto Rico, where authorities predict 1 out of every 5 residents will be infected this spring and summer. And as winter fades to spring and temperatures climb, mosquitoes will come out of hibernation across our southern states, including species – Aedes aegypti and albopictus – that can carry the Zika virus. Be prepared.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control reported that nine American women were found infected with Zika thus far: Two have opted for abortions, two suffered miscarriages and one gave birth to an infant with "severe microcephaly," the shrunken skull deformity that is strongly associated with the Zika epidemic in Brazil.
