Does Big Pharma Need Entrepreneurial Leadership?

In a post I wrote for Friday’s Atlantic.com (“America’s healthy infatuation with entrepreneurs”), I discussed the appeal of the entrepreneur ideal, and contrasted the persona of the representative entrepreneur (exuberant, brash, emotional, excitable) with that of the typical Fortune 500 CEO (measured, dispassionate, methodical), a difference that presumably reflects the very different needs of the two types of businesses (startup vs multinational).
