"We are excited to be partnering with Diasend to bring relevant and meaningful solutions to diabetes management. The intensive nature of diabetes data commands smart software that can interpret information into actionable decisions. Together with Diasend, we are committed to bringing these solutions to fruition," said Kevin Sayer, CEO of Dexcom, Inc.

This opens up new opportunities for healthcare providers to remotely monitor their patients, and offers more efficient workflow for clinics. CGM data can now be imported to diasend® without any cables, which saves time for both the patient and the provider.

"We have seen a remarkable progress in diabetes data management during the 10 years Diasend has been on the market. The next step for Diasend is to be more involved in patient care and thereby improve the support for healthcare providers," said Anders Sonesson, CEO and founder of Diasend.

Mobile CGM data will integrate via the diasend® Connected Apps™ feature that was launched in 2014. So far, it has been used for syncing activity data from apps such as Fitbit and Jawbone. Dexcom G5 Mobile is the first mobile CGM app to become integrated with diasend®, and more solutions and device compatibility are under development. Dexcom G5 Mobile will be available in pre-determined markets, and will be compatible with diasend® at launch. Like the previous products from Dexcom the new Dexcom G5® Mobile receiver will also be compatible for traditional uploads with diasend®.

Diasend is also happy to announce that its new mobile app is now available. With the diasend® Mobile app, patients can monitor their diabetes data, share their progress and even upload glucose data on the go. Both diasend® Connected Apps™ and the diasend® Mobile app will be demonstrated at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) conference in Stockholm 2015.
