Device Offers New Treatment for Liver Failure

PASADENA, Oct 26, 2007 (San Gabriel Valley Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Arbios Systems, Inc., is working toward FDA approval with one of its proprietary medical devices, SEPET, which aims to give patients liver assistance during liver failure until the organ regenerates or a donor becomes available. Based in Pasadena, Arbios Systems published the results of the first phase of clinical testing in early September and plans on beginning the final phase of testing in early 2008, company CFO Scott Hayashi said.
