12/3/2008 7:57:03 AM

SAN FRANCISCO – December 3, 2008. DecisionView, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions to optimize clinical trial performance for life sciences companies, today announced the availability of DV OnDemand, a suite of application hosting and managed services for StudyOptimizer, the company’s flagship solution that optimizes the clinical trial recruitment and enrollment process. Developed in direct response to market demand from leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies, the DV OnDemand solution lowers the cost of supporting on-going operations as a critical element to overall clinical trial success.

"Pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide are challenged to cost effectively support the increasingly complex demands of their internal departments and clinical operations users,” said Steve Andrade, CEO, DecisionView. “We realized the growing need to offer multiple options in providing a seamless and convenient experience for our customers and their IT departments. DV OnDemand ensures that the software runs on a highly scalable, secure and available infrastructure effectively relieving the challenges associated with maintaining software applications on-premise.” DecisionView has partnered with OpSource for its strategic hosting solution needs in order to ensure that its customers’ stringent security and availability requirements were met. OpSource, known for its extensive experience supporting mission-critical business applications, provides secure, comprehensive services with an impressive performance based track record and innovative on-demand platform.

"In today's economy, companies must find secure, efficient ways to achieve their goals; this is particularly true for companies in the clinical trials field where millions of dollars are spent before a single dollar is earned," said OpSource CEO Treb Ryan. "DecisionView decided to meet its clients' needs by providing a seamless on-demand solution that offered a high degree of security and met all audit requirements, and realized that to do so would require partnering with an experienced, award-winning on-demand solutions provider. We are proud that DecisionView recognizes our experience in this field as well as our commitment to providing our partners with a high quality on-demand product.”

DecisionView’s hosted deployment includes separate servers for development, training, testing and production. Development and testing systems allow clients to review new features before upgrading their production systems, while dedicated training systems support initial rollout activities and ongoing training initiatives. In order to maintain the highest level of data security, the environments are completely isolated from other clients and SAS70 certified. The configurations include Apache application servers running on MS Windows Enterprise and Oracle 10g running on Redhat ES V5, and day-to-day operations are managed by a team of Systems Engineers and Network Administrators, guaranteeing optimized performance, up-time, and security.

DecisionView plans to further leverage OpSource’s expertise with virtualization and SaaS capabilities to continue to stay ahead of the market in adopting new technologies to simplify operations and reduce cost of ownership for its customers.
