Deakin University Research Allows Ultrasound Diagnostics Via Remote

DEAKIN University researchers are unlocking the ability to allow patients to undergo ultrasound diagnostics from hundreds of kilometres away.

The Geelong-based team hopes the robotic technology will allow Australians to undergo ultrasounds via remote.

The ultrasound unit could be as far from the medical practitioner as the distance between Melbourne and Sydney (880km), and still be successfully used.
