CureMark CEO to be Honored at Knights of York UN Gala

5/2/2011 9:19:25 AM

RYE, N.Y., May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Joan Fallon, CEO of Curemark LLC, will be honored on Friday June 17th at a gala held at the United Nations in New York City. The black tie event sponsored by the Knights of York is to raise funds for the New York Child Learning Institute and the Phoenix Center, both special educational centers for children with autism and other disabilities. At the event, Dr. Fallon will be presented with the Knights of York Lawrence Ferrara Children's Advocate Award.

"I am grateful to the Knights of York for this honor," stated Dr. Fallon. "It is grand to be included among such distinguished honorees who have dedicated their lives to children. The support of children with autism is so important, and to have this event at the United Nations in support of educating children with autism is quite fitting."

Also being honored at the gala are: Carol Laurenzano, Director, New York Yankees; Lauren and Jim Watkins, anchor PIX11 and autism advocate; and Bob Hurley Sr., coach of St Anthony's of Jersey City.

The Knights of York is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support for medical research, education, and community projects which benefit children in need. The organization works to fund lesser known causes, such as individual institutions so that in many cases children can benefit directly from their work.
