Critical Diagnostics Release: Cardiac Biomarker ST2 Proves Valuable In Helping Risk Assess Heart Failure Patients With Renal Insufficiency

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Critical Diagnostics announced today that results of a study just published in the Journal of Cardiac Failure demonstrated that the prognostic value of ST2 was not adversely influenced by impaired renal function. In patients with renal insufficiency, even when a comprehensive multivariable analysis incorporating other popular biomarkers was performed, ST2 remained as an independent prognostic marker.
