Industry professionals and media are invited to participate in the inaugural Tweetchat taking place in real-time at CPhI Worldwide

28 August, 2014: CPhI Worldwide, organised by UBM Live, announces the launch of #CPhIChat in October 2014. #CPhIChat is a first of its kind global industry-wide Tweetchat for pharma professionals and media working across the supply chain, aimed to stimulate conversations on key industry issues and facilitate shared knowledge building.

Following the release of CPhI’s Annual Report, the inaugural #CPhIChat will take place on the second day of CPhI Worldwide, Wednesday, October 8th, from 2 to 4 p.m. This year, #CPhIChat topics will centre on the ‘Future of Pharma’, linking industry, the 34,000 people at the show and media together across a dedicated platform. The first of its kind industry-wide debate will focus on the key predications and trends affecting the industry including the implementation of QbD, green chemistry, pharma R&D reform, innovation and IPR, and increased outsourcing.

CPhI will open the conversation by presenting key facts (with infographics) from the CPhI panel of experts’ reports on trends affecting the future of pharma. Media, industry professionals, and experts will then be asked join the debate live at the show, arguing their opinions and contrasting viewpoints. #CPhIChat will be streamed live at the show through the screens and displays.

“With our #CPhIChat series, CPhI Worldwide aims to provide another platform for driving innovation and thought leadership alongside the exhibition and speaker series. We look forward to hearing what the industry has to say about the future of pharma and gaining insights on both concerns and solutions during #CPhIChat. With the chat running live on the first day of #CPhIWW we hope to see a ripple of ideas running through the show with real time feedback on the show’s designated pharma TV. I would encourage everyone attending the show to take part” said Chris Kilbee, Group Director Pharma at CPhI.

CPhI encourages the entire industry to log into Twitter from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8th to join the debate by using the hashtags #CPhIChat and #CPhIWW. The chat will be streamed in real-time at the CPhI Conference, with a summary report released after the show.
