Correlagen Diagnostics, Inc. Automates Genetic Testing With New Platform; Cerner Corporation To Provide Exclusive Distribution For Hospital-Based Laboratories

Correlagen Diagnostics, Inc. today announced the availability of GeneExplorer(TM), an automated platform that enables hospital-based clinical diagnostic laboratories to perform genetic testing with limited user intervention. The primary hardware for the platform is provided by Protedyne's Radius(TM) robot, a compact unit which is capable of processing a variety of clinical samples using modular attachments. Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ: CERN), a leading supplier of healthcare information technology, will be the exclusive distributor of GeneExplorer and will integrate the solution with Millennium Helix(TM), Cerner's clinical solution that allows genomic information to be stored in an electronic medical record. Combined, hospital-based laboratories will benefit from the solutions' unprecedented and streamlined approach to perform, analyze, store, and report genetic test results.
