ChemoCentryx, Inc. Announces First Quarter 2012 Financial Results

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 10, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ChemoCentryx, Inc. (Nasdaq:CCXI) announced today its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2012. Revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2012 was $1.0 million compared to $2.9 million during the same quarter in 2011. Net loss for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 was $9.1 million compared to $6.3 million for the same quarter in 2011. Cash, cash equivalents and investments totaled $146.6 million at March 31, 2012, compared to $96.1 million at December 31, 2011 and included $57.0 million in net proceeds from the Company's February 2012 initial public offering and concurrent private placements.
