Cegedim, a global technology and services company specializing in the healthcare field, announces the acquisition of French company Hosta, a specialist in third-party management in which it has held a minority stake since 2004.
Managing 400,000 beneficiaries and boasting extensive experience in third- party management of health and personal protection insurance policies, Hosta is among France's leading third-party management companies.
The company offers its clients flexible "white label" solutions tailored to the needs of complementary insurance providers for the total or partial management of their health or personal protection insurance portfolios, either temporarily or permanently.
Hosta's addition to the Cegedim Group will allow it to pursue its ambitious development plan by adding the expertise and sound positioning of this industry player.
A part of the Group's "Insurance and services" sector, Hosta will generate a number of synergies with the other activities of the "Insurance, electronic payment and health" division. The company will also benefit from the division's expertise in managing mutual insurers' services platforms and other information technology activities.
Lastly, this acquisition expands Cegedim Group's portfolio of solutions, allowing it to offer all of its clients in the insurance sector (insurers, provident institutions, mutual insurers and brokers) tailored solutions suited to their strategies (growth, cost cutting, innovation, etc.) and their operational constraints (excessive activity, integrating portfolios, mobilizing internally for a new offering, etc.).
The deal was finalized on June 18 by internal financing. The acquired businesses represent annual revenues of approximately €11 million.
