LAS VEGAS, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CardioVascular BioTherapeutics, Inc. announced today that two additional hospitals in the United States opened for patient enrollment for its ACORD Phase II clinical trial for the treatment of severe coronary heart disease. The sites are Florida Hospital/Cardiovascular Institute - Orlando Florida and Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center - Phoenix Arizona metropolitan area.
Mercy Hospital Fairfield (Ohio) and The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio were first to open for enrollment in early September, and are working in collaboration to screen and treat patients in the trial. They treated their first patient in support of the trial in mid November 2008.
CVBT now has seven sites that are open for enrollment and intends to announce additional sites as they open for screening patents.
