Candela Reports Second Quarter 2009 Financial Results

WAYLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Candela Corporation (NASDAQ:CLZR) today reported results for the second fiscal quarter ended December 27, 2008. Revenues for the quarter were $28.8 million compared to $35.7 million a year earlier, a decrease of 19%. When compared to the most recent quarter ending September 27, 2008, revenues increased approximately 7.3%. For the quarter, the Company reported a net loss of $25.3 million or $1.11 per share. This includes a net loss from discontinuing operations of $18.2 million or $.80 per share.
