Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas Starts Second Year by Adding More Than $40 Million in Grant Awards to Cancer Research Portfolio

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), the second largest funding source of cancer research in the United States, kicks off its second year by awarding 52 cancer research grants totaling $40,302,026 to 13 Texas institutions. Among the grants are two CPRIT Scholars in Cancer Research recruitment awards bringing outstanding scientists from preeminent institutions to join the faculty at Texas universities.
