Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. Is Pleased To Offer Mouse Express NeuCode Mouse Feed

TEWKSBURY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL), the world’s leading supplier of stable isotopes and stable isotope-enriched compounds, is pleased to offer Mouse Express® NeuCode™ mouse feed with different combinations of lysine (Lys) isotopologues for 2- and 3-plex, MS proteomic analysis.

The mouse is the most commonly used animal model in biological and biomedical research. Neutron encoding (NeuCode™) is a new and promising metabolic labeling technique to investigate mammalian biology in vivo. Compared to traditional SILAM and SILAC, NeuCode has the potential to provide enhanced multiplexing, reduced labeling time, and improved protein/peptide identification. In principle, NeuCode uses different isotopologues of Lys for multiplexed relative quantification of proteins by high-resolution MS. Incorporating NeuCode into the proteomes of actively growing mouse cells can enable molecular phenotyping and screening studies.

Mouse Express® NeuCode™ mouse feed kits are made to order and contain material for:

• 2- or 3-plex analysis and

• 1- or 3-week supply (feed provided for 3 mice).
