BRIT Systems, Medic Vision Enter Agreement for U.S. Support of SafeCT Systems

5/1/2012 11:07:23 AM

DALLAS, TX and TIRAT CARMEL, ISRAEL--(Marketwire - May 01, 2012) -

BRIT Systems, Inc., and Medic Vision Imaging Solutions Ltd., today announced an agreement for BRIT Systems to support U.S. installations of Medic Vision's SafeCT image enhancement system. SafeCT is a universal iterative image reconstruction add-on that delivers diagnostic images to studies acquired over a wide range of exposure parameters on any CT scanner. Its use allows providers to obtain low-noise, diagnostic-quality CT images for CT studies scanned with low-dose protocols.

Under the agreement, BRIT Systems will provide support for the growing SafeCT U.S. installed base. Medic Vision will continue to provide sales, training and installation.

"SafeCT has huge market potential as more hospitals and imaging practices adopt low-dose protocols. We are delighted to provide Medic Vision's customers with the excellent service and technical expertise for which BRIT Systems is known," said Shelly Fisher, President, BRIT Systems.

SafeCT utilizes Medic Vision's proprietary, patented iterative volumetric image reconstruction algorithms and is compatible with 4-slice to 256-slice CT systems from major manufacturers. SafeCT reduces noise in CT images, protecting scanners against obsolescence by eliminating the need for newer systems incorporating such functionality. A single SafeCT can simultaneously serve multiple scanners in different locations. Its use is virtually transparent to department workflow.

"We selected BRIT Systems to support the rapid growth of SafeCT installations in the U.S because of their proven track record in service and support," said Eyal Aharon, CEO of Medic Vision.
