Breakthrough By National University of Singapore (NUS) Scientists To Pave The Way For Greener, Highly Efficient Production Of Nanocrystals For Biomedical And Life Science Sectors

National University of Singapore -- Researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS), in collaboration with counterparts from the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, have discovered a new synthetic strategy for controlling the properties of ultra-small luminescent nanocrystals that hold much potential for applications in advanced bio-imaging, sophisticated volumetric 3D image displays, and the treatment of diseases such as cancer and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
