Bovie Medical Corporation Announces Marketing And Distribution Alliances With Medline Industries, Inc.

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2006--Bovie Medical Corporation (the "Company") (AMEX:BVX - News), a manufacturer and marketer of electrosurgical products, today announced a marketing and distribution alliance with Medline Industries, Inc., the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical products. The alliance will promote the sale of electrosurgical equipment and accessories in the hospital market. Medline has recently launched a full line of high quality electrosurgical accessories and will co-promote these accessories with Bovie's electrosurgical equipment to hospitals and hospital buying groups.

The program is being rolled out as group purchasing organizations and integrated delivery network contract renewals are re-negotiated.
