Boston Scientific Joins $10 Million Funding Round for Securus Medical

Securus Medical Group, Inc. Announces Series C Financing and 510(k) Clearance

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2016) - Securus Medical Group, Inc., a privately held medical device company, announced the closing of a $10 million Series C financing led by Boston Scientific Corporation. Boston Scientific joined with existing investors RiverVest Venture Partners, 3X5 Special Opportunity Fund, and the University of Michigan MINTS program, as well as another new investor, the Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center. Series C proceeds will be used for continued product development and clinical investigation of the Company's recently FDA cleared infrared thermographic system [IRTS]. IRTS is a proprietary, intrabody thermal measurement device that is intended for continuous esophageal temperature monitoring.
