Boston Scientific Corporation to Cut Jobs in Minnesota

Natick, Mass.-based Boston Scientific is eliminating an unspecified number of jobs in the Twin Cities. A spokesman for the medical device manufacturer confirmed the local job cuts on Wednesday, Oct. 10, saying the workforce reduction is part of a previously announced restructuring program. According to that plan, Boston Scientific will eliminate 1,400 jobs companywide by the end of 2013. The company also eliminated local jobs in August as part of the restructuring program, but did not specify the number of affected workers in the Twin Cities. Boston Scientific employs about 5,000 people in the Twin Cities at divisions in Arden Hills and Maple Grove.
