Body Science Sues Boston Scientific Corporation Over Latitude Technology

Body Science LLC sues Boston Scientific for patent infringement over the medical device company's Latitude patient monitoring system. Body Science LLC sued Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) for patent infringement, alleging that the medical device company's Latitude cardiac patient monitoring system violates a pair of its patents. The pair of patents cover "Wireless Medical Diagnosis and Monitoring Equipment." The Latitude system monitors certain Boston Scientific defibrillator models, wirelessly beaming the data to physicians. The suit, originally filed in the U.S. District Court for Northern Illinois and later transferred to the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, also names LifeWatch, Philips (NYSE:PHG), Polar Electro and A&D Co. Ltd.
