Blueair To Introduce Pro Series Air Purifiers At IHMRS 2014

NEW YORK, Nov. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Blueair announced today that the company's Blueair Pro air purifiers will make their U.S. debut at the International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show (IHMR), November 9-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The new Blueair Pro air purifiers provide the highest clean air delivery rate (CADR) of any standalone unit on the market. Available in three models designed for different room sizes, the ENERGY STAR-rated Blueair Pro consumes as little electricity as a light bulb. The device features Blueair's patented HEPASilentTM technology and an Air Intelligence module that automatically adjusts air purification performance depending on the amount of pollutants in the air.

The flagship Pro XL model is capable of purifying an 1180 square foot room at rates that exceed the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturer's (AHAM) maximum ratings by roughly double.1 In testing, the Pro XL cleared smoke at 800 cubic feet per minute (cfm), dust at 950 cfm and pollen at 900 cfm.

"As travelers become more health conscious, hotels have opportunities to distinguish their service and attract guests with a healthy environment," said Bob McDonald, National Accounts Sales Manager at Blueair. "In the same way that fitness centers and health dining options have become a selling point, air purification is on track to become an eye-catching amenity especially in cities where air pollution is a concern. Several hotels and hospitality companies such as the Venetian Las Vegas have begun to set this trend, and we expect more will follow."

In addition the Pro models, Blueair will exhibit the Blueair Sense and Blueair Classic lines. Blueair will be located at Booth2127.
