Blue Belt Technologies, Inc. Announces CE Mark For STRIDE™ Unicondylar Knee System

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Belt Technologies, a medical device company specializing in solutions for orthopedic surgery, receives CE Mark for their STRIDE™ Unicondylar Knee System. The CE Mark allows Blue Belt Technologies to begin marketing and distributing STRIDE, their proprietary knee system, alongside the Navio® Surgical System in select/certain markets outside the US.

“The STRIDE implant has been specially designed to pair with our Navio® robotic-assisted surgical technology, which has been in use clinically since 2012. We are very pleased with the early clinical outcomes STRIDE has shown and, more importantly, the feedback of the physicians utilizing our implant.”

STRIDE received FDA clearance in June of 2014 and has been commercially available in the US since October, 2014.

“Receiving CE Mark for STRIDE is an important milestone for Blue Belt as we continue to expand our commercial footprint outside the United States,” said Eric Timko, President and CEO of Blue Belt Technologies. “The STRIDE implant has been specially designed to pair with our Navio® robotic-assisted surgical technology, which has been in use clinically since 2012. We are very pleased with the early clinical outcomes STRIDE has shown and, more importantly, the feedback of the physicians utilizing our implant.”

The STRIDE Unicondylar Knee System is designed to be optimally implanted with Blue Belt’s robotic-assisted technology, the Navio system. Currently, STRIDE is available for treatment of both medial and lateral unicompartmental knee replacement. The Navio system will continue to support multiple leading unicondylar and patellofemoral knee systems and remain an open-platform technology.
