Bioo Scientific Corporation Joins PerkinElmer, Inc.'s INspiring INnovation Tour With AflaPure Aflatoxin Immunoaffinity Columns
The 2013 INspiring INnovation Tour is a nationwide series of multi-track events sponsored by Perkin Elmer dedicated to sharing scientific knowledge. These events provide an opportunity for researchers to share their ideas and experiences with others in their industries. Last year over 1100 scientists and researchers participated in these events.
Bioo Scientific, a leading supplier of food testing kits, will present a session at 1:35 pm in the INsight track Integrating Spheres: The Swiss Army Knife of UV/Vis/NIR Spectroscopy and the INnovation track Use of AflaPure Aflatoxin Immunoaffinity Cleanup Columns with Perkin Elmer HPLC for the Determination of Aflatoxins in Food and Spice Samples.
Bioo Scientific’s AflaPure™ product line works with HPLC instruments to quantify toxins in food and environmental samples. These readyto- use columns contain immobilized antibodies which specifically bind aflatoxins, allowing for efficient purification of aflatoxins from sample matrices’ impurities. The purified samples are ready for sensitive, quantitative analysis using either HPLC or direct fluorometry. The AflaPure™ Total Kit is designed for the determination of aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1 and G2) from a wide variety of food samples, including corn, nuts, peanut butter and spices. The AflaPure M1 Kit is designed for the determination of aflatoxin M1 in milk. Each kit includes 25 columns and a detailed manual for performing the aflatoxin determination.
The AflaPure Columns are the newest additions to Bioo Scientific’s premier line of ELISAs and strip tests for the detection of toxins in food and feed samples. These kits are all manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008 (ISO CI#: SARA-2009-CA- 0114-02-A).
