BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. will buy its corporate home in San Rafael for $116.5 million as it seeks to expand. The company, which in early 2012 moved 350 employees from Novato to the San Rafael Corporate Center, expects to buy the four-building, 315,000-square-foot office complex by Jan. 22, it said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The company (NASDAQ: BMRN), led by Chairman and CEO Jean-Jacques Bienaimé, deposited $10 million into an escrow account ahead of the deal, which includes vacant land.
