Bio Park Could Spell Jobs Bonanza for Medical Device and Pharmaceutical

A multi-million euro project being planned for Claremorris could see the creation of hundreds of new jobs in the town if the promoters get the green light from Mayo County Council. Planning permission is expected to be submitted to the local authority later this month for a state-of-the-art Bio Park on a 20-acre site at Kilbeg, Claremorris. Local man JP Prendergast is one of the key promoters behind the project. Speaking exclusively to the Western People, he explained that the promoters have been working towards this project for a number of years and are now ready to proceed with their plans, pumping millions of euro into the local economy and taking a major step forward in making Claremorris a Green Town.
