BellBrook Labs LLC Announces Kinase/ATPase detection that is "2" sensitive

This "next generation" ADP detection assay offers improved sensitivity and increased flexibility over the original ADP detection assay, making it the most sensitive tool for high throughput screening and selectivity profiling of ADP-producing enzymes. The first generation Transcreener ADP assay was a game changer because it allowed generic detection of any enzyme that converts ATP to ADP without the use of coupling enzymes such as luciferase. This assay enabled the facile detection and screening of established drug targets including protein and lipid kinases as wells as emerging targets such as heat shock proteins and other ATPases. The assay relied on a highly selective antibody that specifically recognizes ADP even in the presence of much higher ATP concentrations, allowing the screening of diverse enzymes with native and synthetic substrates or enzymes with intrinsic ATPase activity (without substrate) - all with the same set of reagents . Now BellBrook Labs has developed an improved monoclonal antibody that allows more sensitive ADP detection and increases the total assay signal. This means that you can get a very good assay window (Z’ = 0.7) using ATP concentrations as low as 100nM or as high as 1mM under initial velocity conditions (=10% substrate conversion).
