Beijing Med-Pharm Corp. Registration Statement Becomes Effective

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beijing Med-Pharm Corporation (NASDAQ:BJGP) today announced that its Registration Statement on Form S-3 (file no. 333-140078), as amended, relating to the registration of 4,449,917 shares of its common stock, par value $0.001 per share, including 1,116,611 shares issuable upon the exercise of warrants, was declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 7, 2007. All of the shares were registered on behalf of certain selling stockholders that purchased their shares in a private placement in December 2006. Beijing Med-Pharm Corporation will not receive any of the proceeds from the sale of common stock by the selling stockholders.
