Bayer HealthCare Unit Consolidating in N.J., Adding 500 Jobs

Daily Record -- Pharmaceutical giant Bayer HealthCare announced Monday that it will consolidate its entire East Coast business in New Jersey, keeping 1,700 jobs in the state and adding up to 500 more. Bayer's current New Jersey operations are based in Morris Township, Montville and Wayne, but the company is considering the former BASF complex in Mount Olive, according to Mayor David Scapicchio, who said the company contacted him about the facility that includes nearly a million square feet of space.
