RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC--(Marketwire - November 16, 2011) - Bayer CropScience announced today that Inci Dannenberg has been named as Vice President of Commercial Operations for Crop Protection for the United States effective December 1. Dannenberg succeeds Jim Delong, current head of Commercial Operations who will retire from Bayer CropScience at the end of the year.

As Vice President of Commercial Operations, Dannenberg will lead the sales force and operations for the United States including two sales regions, customer service, key accounts and business operations. Prior to this role, Dannenberg served as the Midwest Regional Director for eight key agricultural states.

"Additionally, she brings her breadth of knowledge of both the sales and marketing sides of the business to this role."

Dannenberg received an MBA from Kansas State University in 1986 and began her career with Bayer CropScience in 1992 as a Marketing Research Analyst. She has held a number of managerial positions with Bayer CropScience, including Key Account Manager, Sales Control Manager, Product/Market Manager and Manager of Marketing Strategies and Research.

Dannenberg sits on the Board of Directors for the Mid-America CropLife Association. She has worked with the Harvesters, the community food network in Kansas. Within Bayer CropScience, she is active with the Women's Leadership Initiative.

Delong will support Dannenberg's transition over the next several weeks until his retirement, after many years of service to Bayer and the agriculture industry.
