Baxter International, Inc. Cuts 100 Jobs After Regulatory Hiccup

Baxter is axing jobs but others are hiring! Check it out! (Isn't it tempting?)

Just weeks after receiving honors as the Orleans County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, Baxter International Inc. has laid off nearly 100 employees at the site. Company officials confirmed Thursday morning the layoffs, but insisted the facility remains integral to its operations. John O’Malley, spokesman at the Deerfield, Ill.-based company (NYSE:BAX), said in an email response that plans call for retaining 370 employees in Medina, “which is essential to Baxter’s ability to continue servicing and supporting customers who rely on the SIGMA Spectrum Infusion pump to provide life-saving and life-sustaining care to patients.”

Don't forget, hundreds of biopharma companies are hiring! (We know you can't resist.)
