Baby Girl Born Pregnant With Twins, Hong Kong Medical Journal Reveals

A baby girl born in Hong Kong appeared to have a growth of some kind in her left side, but doctors soon discovered the growth contained what could be "absorbed" siblings. The nearly 9-pound baby girl had a rare condition called fetus-in-fetu, which happens when a partially developed fetus becomes incorporated into a normally developing fetus (its twin) in the womb. This condition affects about 1 in 500,000 births, according to the case study published in the Hong Kong Medical Journal this month.
