Auspex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel medicines for the treatment of orphan diseases, today announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 7,000,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $12.00
per share. Auspex has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an aggregate of 1,050,000 additional shares of common stock at the initial public offering price to cover any over-allotments. The shares are expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Market, beginning on February 5, 2014
, under the symbol "ASPX." The offering is expected to close on February 10, 2014
, subject to customary closing conditions.
